Working with the Cincinnati Residential Rental Registration Program

The following rental situations are exempt from registration with the City of Cincinnati:

  • A property that is used exclusively as a hotel or motel
  • A property that is ordered entirely vacated by the City
  • A property that is lawfully registered and used entirely as a Short-Term Rental of 30 days or less

You will need the following information in order to complete the registration process:

  • ezTrak account
  • Address of the residential rental property
  • Utility Information (Are utilities included with the rental rate?)
  • The total number of residential units
  • Wheelchair accessible information
  • The number of, average monthly rent for, average square footage of, and number of bathrooms for units grouped by the number of bedrooms
  • The property ownership type and appropriate contact information:
    • For property ownership type "Association" must provide contact type information for "Associate"

    • For property ownership type "Corporation" must provide contact type information for "Corporate Officer"

    • For property ownership type"Partnership" must provide contact type information for "Partner"

    • For property ownership type "Individual" must provide contact type information for "Property Owner"

    • For property ownership type "Limited Liability Corporation" must provide contact type information for "LLC Member or Management"

    • For property ownership type "Trust or Business Trust" must provide contact type information for "Trustee"

    • For property ownership type "Estate" must provide contact type information for "Executor"

  • The contact information for these relationships: Primary Contact, Emergency Contact and Person in Charge.

Tip

If a single individual is to be used for multiple contacts, add the contact to your account to select during the application process.
